Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy outlines how shipping works when using Mylka’s services and what to expect when sending and receiving parcels.


Shipping Within New Zealand

Mylka currently ships within New Zealand only.

All breastmilk shipments are transported using third-party courier services.


Shipping Kits & Materials

When you purchase a shipping box or kit, it will be dispatched to the address provided at checkout. Each kit includes:

  • An insulated shipping cooler

  • Required liners

  • A pre-printed return shipping label

  • A step-by-step packing guide

Please inspect your kit upon arrival and contact us promptly if anything is missing or damaged.


Sending Your Milk to Mylka

Recommended Shipping Days

To reduce the risk of delays, we strongly recommend sending breastmilk Monday to Wednesday only.

Shipping later in the week increases the likelihood of parcels being held over the weekend, which may result in thawing.


Transit Risk

Breastmilk is a perishable and temperature-sensitive item.

All breastmilk is shipped at your own risk, consistent with standard New Zealand courier terms for perishable goods. Mylka does not accept responsibility for any loss, damage, thawing, spoilage, or quality degradation that occurs during courier transit.

Once a parcel has been collected by the courier, responsibility for handling, timing, and delivery rests with the courier provider.


Delivery Timeframes

All delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delays may occur due to:

  • Weather events

  • Public holidays

  • Regional depot schedules

  • Courier service disruptions

Mylka is not responsible for delays outside our control.


Receiving Your Processed Milk

Once processing is complete, your freeze-dried milk will be packaged and returned using a courier service.

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • Someone is available to receive the delivery

  • The parcel is stored appropriately upon arrival

Mylka is not responsible for parcels left unattended after delivery.


Lost or Delayed Parcels

If a parcel is delayed or lost in transit, any investigation or claim must be made directly with the courier provider.

Mylka does not offer transit insurance for breastmilk shipments.


Incorrect Address Details

Please ensure all address details are correct at checkout. Mylka is not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect or incomplete address information.


Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are displayed at checkout and are charged in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
